Interpretation of 3D Seismic Reflection Data to Reveal Stratigraphic Setting of the Reservoir of Mishrif Formation in Dujaila Oil Field, Southeast of Iraq

This research is an attempt to solve the ambiguity associated with stratigraphic setting of main reservoir (late Cretaceous) Mishrif Formation in Dujaila oil field. was achieved by studying a 3D seismic reflection post-stack data for area ​​602.62 Km2 Maysan Governorate, southeast Iraq. Seismic analysis true amplitude reflections, time maps, and depositional models showed sufficient evidence that produces from trap isolated reef carbonate buildups were grown on shelf edge platform, located around productive well Dujaila-1. The low-frequency attribute illustrated it restricted Dujaila-1, which confirmed existence porous hydrocarbon accumulation this region. pay zone mound extends about 7 km Dujaila-1 toward southwest side 4 Dujaila-2, without reaching it, explaining why dry. Therefore, south represents good low-risk drilling. Consequently, system observed field provides new opportunity explore produce other areas flank structures flat situated belt platform edge.
